A continuación encontrarás unas recomendaciones muy importantes para el desarrollo de la Conferencia Internacional Antimilitarismos en Movimiento: Narrativas de resistencias a la guerra que se realizará el 30, 31 julio y 1 de agosto. Agradecemos por favor te tomes el tiempo necesario para leerlo detenidamente y en su totalidad.

Inscripción mesas temáticas A continuación encontrarás las mesas temáticas que desarrollaremos durante la Conferencia, cada una de las mesas tiene unas subcategorías que especifican el carácter de cada mesa temática. Por favor, elige la mesa temática que se relaciona con tu área de trabajo e inscríbete en la subcategoría que más te llame la atención. 

Inscríbete a la mesa aquí Una fotografía para reconstruir la memoria Durante la Conferencia construiremos una línea del tiempo del antimilitarismo, pero necesitamos de tu ayuda para realizarlo. Envíanos al correo una fotografía emblemática de tu organización/colectivo/proceso de base que represente una acción significativa en resistencia al militarismo y sus prácticas, en Colombia la imprimiremos.

Alojamiento

El alojamiento reservado con su inscripción serán dormitorios compartidos con otros participantes, en hostales cercanos al lugar del evento. El desayuno será servido en su hostal. Enviaremos un correo electrónico a cada participante para informarle en qué hostal se hospedará. Si para el 19 de julio no has recibido este correo, por favor escríbenos a info AT wri-irg.org para confirmar esta información.
 
Hemos reservado hospedaje para las personas que lo solicitaron, los hostales fueron reservados desde el día anterior a tu primer evento (ya sean las reuniones de la IRG o la Conferencia) con salida el día después. Si tu llegada es anterior o tu partida es después por favor asegúrate de hacer los arreglos correspondientes; no tenemos la capacidad para cambiar el hospedaje en casos individuales.
 
Comida

El desayuno se servirá en su hostal antes de salir para las actividades del día. Nuestros almuerzos y cenas para las reuniones de la IRG y la conferencia internacional se servirán en el lugar del evento. Si tienes algún requerimiento de dieta y no lo indicaste en el formulario de registro, compártelo al equipo organizador.
 
Clima

Bogotá es una ciudad ubicada a 2600 metros de altura, ten en cuenta las siguientes recomendaciones:

El clima de la ciudad es variable, recomendamos venir preparado/a para clima soleado y lluvioso. La temperatura podría oscilar entre 8º y 18º La temperatura en la noche suele bajar, recomendamos traer ropa abrigada.  
Transportes / desplazamientos en Bogotá

Bogotá cuenta con 4 medios de transporte público. Recomendamos contar con aplicaciones como Uber / similares para transporte en automóvil. Si el desplazamiento es en transporte público o caminando recomendamos la app Moovit.  
Seguridad

No descuidar los objetos personales en todo momento y lugar. Si planeas desplazarte a otros lugares distintos al lugar de la Conferencia, te recomendamos compartir tu lugar de destino con otros compañeros/as.
INFORMACIÓN PARA INTERNACIONALES
 
Moneda local

En Colombia todos los pagos en establecimientos/tiendas/restaurantes deben hacerse en pesos colombianos. Te recomendamos comprar pesos colombianos al llegar al aeropuerto. Enchufes

Los conectores eléctricos o enchufes en Colombia son los mismos que se usan en Estados Unidos, con 2 clavijas planas de entrada. Te recomendamos traer contigo un adaptador para toma corriente. Lenguaje

Todas las plenarias principales serán en inglés y español. Intérpretes estarán a la mano para los grupos temáticos y los talleres. (Algunos de estos serán solo en inglés y español) Personas que han asistido a conferencias de la IRG en el pasado les agradará saber que hemos contratado un equipo de interpretación profesional, tanto para las reuniones como para la Conferencia. Si eres bilingüe (español – inglés) y puedes ofrecernos tu apoyo en la Conferencia con una hora o dos de interpretación consecutiva estaremos muy agradecidos. Las llegadas de las personas internacionales serán al aeropuerto internacional El Dorado en Bogotá. Deberás tomar un taxi que te lleve a tu hostal u otro alojamiento.

This email has lots of important information about our International Conference Antimilitarism in Movement that will be held on July 30, 31 and August 1. - please take the time to digest it and read through the attachments.
Agenda Registration theme groups Below you will find the theme groups that we will work during the International conference, each of the theme groups has subcategories that specify their topics. Please choose the Theme Group that relates to your work area and register in the subcategory that most catches your attention or relates to your activism in your country/territory. Register here for the theme groups A picture to remember During the Conference we will build an antimilitarism timeline, but we need your help to do it. Send us an emblematic photograph of your organization / collective / grassroot group that shows a significant action in resistance to militarism and its practices. We will print it in Colombia.
 
With the photograph send us a maximum of one paragraph description / context of the photograph and the date it was taken. We will receive your photos until July 23 to the email conferencia.antimili2019 AT gmail.com. Practical information Venue

Accommodation

We have reserved dorms in a number of hostels close to the venue for the people who asked for it in the registration form. We will be emailing each participant individually about which hostel they will be staying in. If you haven't heard from us by Friday 22nd July, please email us to info AT wri-irg.irg to confirm where you are staying.
 
We have reserved accommodation for participants who have requested it. Hostels are booked from the day before your first event (either WRI meetings or the conference) with check out the day after. If you are arriving earlier or leaving later please make sure you have made arrangements - we do not have the capacity to change accommodation bookings for individuals
 
Food

Breakfast will be served at your hostel before you leave for the day’s activities. Our afternoon and evening meals for WRI meetings and the international conference will be taken at the YMCA venue. If you have a diet requirement and did not indicate it in the registration form, share it with the organizing team.
 
Weather

Bogota is a city located at 2600 meters high, keep in mind the following recommendations:
- The climate of the city is variable, we recommend coming prepared for sunny and rainy weather. The temperature could oscillate between 8º and 18º
- The temperature in the night is usually low, we recommend bringing warm clothes.
 
Transport in Bogotá
 
- Bogotá has 4 means of public transport. We recommend having applications like Uber / similar for car transportation. If you are going to move around the city by public transport or walking, we recommend downloading the Moovit app.
 
Security and safety
 
- Take care of your personal belongings all the time.
- If you plan to move to places other than the Conference venue, we recommend that you share your destination with others.
 
INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONALS
 
Currency
 
- In Colombia all payments in establishments / stores / restaurants must be made in Colombian pesos. We recommend buying Colombian pesos upon arrival at the airport.
 
Plugs
- The electrical connectors or plugs in Colombia are the same as those used in the United States, with 2 flat input plugs. We recommend you bring an adapter.
 
Language
- All the main plenary sessions will be in English and Spanish. Interpreters will be on hand for thematic groups and workshops. (Some of these will only be in English and Spanish) People who have been to WRI conferences will be glad to know we are hiring a professional interpretation system for both the WRI meetings and the conference, so you can leave your battery-powered radio at home!
 
We will have interpreters on hand for the theme groups and workshops but if you are bilingual (English-Spanish) and able to offer to support the conference with an hour or two of consecutive interpretation we will be very grateful. Email natalia AT wri-irg.org  if you are able to offer this.
 
Travels

- Arrivals of international people will be at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá. You will need to take a taxi to get from the airport to your hostel or other accommodation.
